20th Annual Cesar Gonzmart Memorial Gourmet Golf Tournament Raises More Than $55,000
For The University of South Florida

TAMPA, Fla., June 9, 2015 - - The 20th Annual Cesar Gonzmart Memorial Gourmet Golf Tournament raised more than $55,000 for the University of South Florida.  The tournament was  at The Claw at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
The May 1 annual tournament was created in 1995 by Richard & Casey Gonzmart, 4th generation co-owners/operators of the Columbia Restaurant Group, to honor their father, Cesar, who passed away in 1992 from pancreatic cancer.  He was a strong supporter of the Latin community and education.
100 percent of the money donated by players and corporate sponsors benefits the University of South Florida’s Latino Scholarship Fund and USF Athletics.
The Columbia has established the fully endowed Adela & Cesar Gonzmart Memorial Scholarship and the Columbia Centennial Scholarship to assist financially challenged but academically excellent first-generation college students. The Cesar Gonzmart Memorial Gourmet Golf tournament helps fund these two endowments that together have a balance of more than $340,000 and currently supports six students.
Bulls student athletes benefit by practicing and playing at the best training and sports facilities. Other students and fans also get to enjoy these venues.
